I found that the flow still fell short of what would be needed if I wanted a successful map, since players had difficulty reaching the catwalks from the ground level.  One of the ways in which I increased flow through the level was through the placement of teleporters, jumppads, and ladders.  Teleporter doorways allowed the player to jump from lower positions of the level to higher, or escape from dead ends.
