For my first large project at the Guildhall I was
paired with an artist and tasked with creating a 2D
game in the Scrolling Game Development Kit. My
roles involved game design, level design,
programming, and environmental art, while the artist
created all the animated sprites such as characters
and pickups.
I decided to develop a puzzle game with very simple gameplay elements, which would allow me to concentrate on the challenge of designing puzzles effectively.
'Finders Keepers' was one of four 2D games presented at the Guildhall exhibition in March 2007. You can access a copy of the trailer here.
